Michael Kim produced one of the finest rounds in PGA Tour history on Friday, carding a sensational 12-under-par 59 during the second round of the 3M Open.
The American became just the 16th player to break the 60-shot barrier on the PGA Tour, vaulting up the leaderboard with a flawless display at TPC Twin Cities.

Kim's remarkable round featured five consecutive birdies from the third to the seventh hole as he gathered momentum before producing a stunning finish.
He played his final four holes in four under par, capping the round with a brilliant 24-foot birdie putt on the 18th to secure the historic score.
The putter proved to be Kim's biggest weapon throughout the day, with the American holing eight putts from beyond 10 feet during a near-perfect display.

Kim's 59 is the lowest round recorded on the PGA Tour this season, eclipsing the previous best of 60, a mark achieved by Blades Brown, Wyndham Clark, Si Woo Kim, Andrew Putnam and world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.
The 12-under effort also moves Kim into a share of second place for the lowest 18-hole score in PGA Tour history.
Only Jim Furyk has gone lower, with his record-breaking 58 at the 2016 Travelers Championship remaining the best single-round score ever recorded on the PGA Tour.
Kim's historic round could prove just as significant for his season as it is for the record books.
